RUMOUR HAS IT...
There will be a Big Bash warm up match between the Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes on December 15 at the Traralgon Recreation Reserve in the evening to show off their new lights.
The rumour isn't too far fetched.
In March, an unprecedented $85 million investment was promised by the Andrews Labor Government to invest in the Latrobe Valley's sporting infrastructures and clubs. There for the announcement by Premier Daniel Andrews was the Minister for Sport and Tourism John Eren, Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing, Collingwood and Melbourne Stars President Eddie McGuire and Melbourne Victory Club Ambassador Archie Thompson.
Yes, Eddie McGuire the Melbourne Stars President!
When the TR Morning Crew contacted the Melbourne Stars for comment, a spokesperson told them "With the fixtures released, we are now in a position to explore numerous opportunities to play warm up matches around the country in the lead in to BBL|07"
Neither confirmed nor denied! Stay tuned...
