Aislin Jones wins the ISSF Junior World Cup
Gippsland-based Olympic skeet shooter Aislin Jones has won the ISSF Junior World Cup in Sydney.
The win is an important confidence booster for the 18 year old from Lakes Entrance, as she prepares to represent Australia at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
In winning the cup, Aislin set a new Junior Qualifying World Record of 117/125, which outdoes her own record set in Mexico a fortnight ago.
She also created a new Junior Final World Record of 51/60, beating the record of 48/50 set at the World Championships in Moscow where she placed fourth.

Aislin and her father Dave leave for the Gold Coast today, in readiness for the Commonwealth Games.
The hopes of Gippsland go with her, especially her home club, the Bairnsdale Clay Target Club.
